SUMMER SKINCARE – WHAT TO DO TO PROTECT SKIN

In summer skin problems like tanning, darkness and oiliness is very common. During summer season skin care is very different as compared to another season like winter. Harsh weather of summer causes irritation for skin making it red and inflamed. Due to the hot atmosphere, the secretion of oil is excess during summer. In summer you need to regularly follow skin care regime of cleaning, toning, and moisturising. Few tips for summer skincare are defined here –

Do not let sun rays damage your skin cells. Whenever you step out then always apply sunscreen of 20 SPF or more. Harmful UV rays cause photo aging in the form of brown spots, coarse skin and wrinkles. Sunscreen protects your skin from harmful UV sun rays. You can apply sunscreen even when you are inside the house for better protection. Whilst taking sunscreen always choose oil-free, mattifying, extra emollient formulas for dry skin, or chemical free formulas for a sensitized and reactive skin.


 
Regularly exfoliate your skin with natural and herbal products so as to remove dead skin and dirt. Exfoliation rejuvenates skin as well as improves blood circulation.  

Keep skin hydrated by using toner and
moisturiser daily. Use face mask for at least two times in a week. Toners make skin refresh and moisturisers keep skin hydrated.

Drink enough plain water in summer to keep your body hydrated. Drink at least 8 to 10 glass of water in summer to maintain
critical moisture balance of body.

Apply lip balm with 15 or higher SPF to keep lips hydrated.

In summer, always take shower with cold water as it will improve blood circulation and make you look refreshed.
