HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT PRIMER FOR YOUR FACE

Know the reason of using primer - The main question whilst choosing primer is to decide the purpose like to cover wrinkles and fine lines, discolouration, acne scars or you want something to get rid of the oily and shiny skin. For this, it is better to choose the prescription given on the label of product which clearly mentions the usage of the product.

Know your skin type - You should know your skin type when you are selecting primer. There are different types of primer for different skin types like dry, oily and normal skin. For oily skin type, you can choose mattifying primer or salicylic acid primer. Gel based and illuminating primer is good for dry skin. If you are blessed with normal skin then you can try all type of primer which can blend well with your skin colour.

Check compatibility of primer with foundation – Before buying primer make sure to check that your foundation and primer have same base i.e. oil or water. For checking this you should apply primer on any area of the hand and let it dry. When it gets dry then apply foundation onto it. If you see that foundation easily blend with primer then you can take this.
